Q
Why should I hire a Certified Landscape Designer?
Unlike what some people might think, there is much more to landscape design than arranging plants like the pieces of a puzzle. The education to become certified includes architectural research, erosion control, environmentally friendly and sustainable landscapes, permanent structure construction, holistic concepts, year-round landscape beauty, and much more. We are able to give you more than pretty plants and curb appeal. We give you something that solves problems, adds beauty, and creates an outdoor living space for you to enjoy and share with friends. It is the difference between attractive plants and an outdoor experience that draws you out of your home to enjoy its beauty.
Q
I have already paid a landscape designer to create a design for me. Will you install someone else’s design?
This is not a simple yes or no question. A lot depends on the knowledge and experience of the other landscape designer and how good a job he or she did in designing something that works on the property and meets your needs. In short, if they did a good design and you are happy with it, then there should be no problem for us to install it, though we might have to make a few tweaks along the way.
Q
How much does a landscape design usually cost?
The cost of the design is usually based on the size of the project. If it is a very extensive design with irrigation systems, landscape lighting, large entertaining area, etc., it will run much higher than a simple planting design to go around the house. The elaborate designs can sometimes run a few thousand dollars while the simple ones will only run a few hundred. HOWEVER, if you sign a contract with us to install your landscape design within ninety days of the design completion, the cost of the design will be deducted from the cost of the installation!
Q
I have a big yard and big ideas about what I want to do, but I have a small budget. Is there a way that I can still get my dream backyard?
Absolutely! The great thing about installing a landscape is that unlike building a house, you don’t have to do everything at one time for it to be a livable space. The first thing is to go ahead and create the design for what you want the finished product to look like. After that, we can break the actual installation up into several phases based on your budget to span several years, if necessary, doing one piece or phase at a time.
Q
Is any yard too small to create a beautiful landscape that I can enjoy?
Absolutely not. It is incredible what you can do in very small spaces if you have the proper training, experience, and imagination. Fortunately, we have all three! We can also provide you with plenty of examples and ideas of how you can turn even the smallest of backyards into your own personal paradise.
